Life is an individual journey - and so is your career!

At the LBG Career Center, we understand that every career is unique, with distinct needs, aspirations and goals.

Our Career Development Journeys are not a one-size-fits-all solution. They are a tailored collection of programs, formats and services that you can select based on what you currently need and oriented towards the needs of the respective target group.

So far, we've developed Career Development Journeys for three distinct target groups:

Researcher Journey - career development of researchers (at the Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft and other research organizsations)

Leadership Journey - development of leadership profile (for leaders at the Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft and other research organizsations)

LBG Journey - career development of all employees at the LBG.

It is vital that researchers are equipped with the necessary skills for successful and fulfilling careers in all relevant areas of society, including academia, industry, entrepreneurship, public administration and the not-for-profit sector.

Our Competence Cluster thus encompass the key areas of expertise essential for personal and professional growth in research & beyond.

In general, we take into account the skills from ESCO (European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations) in our offers. ESCO is the European multilingual classification of Skills, Competences and Occupations.

The competencies for researchers are based on the EU Research Comp, the European Competence Framework for Researchers. In other specific areas of work, we take into account additional competence frameworks such as the DigComp Framework for Digital Skills or the RM Comp for Research Managers.

By aligning with the recognized EU skills framework, we enable researchers and research organizations to compare and present their skills across organizational and national borders.
