Peer Circles – Connect with your peers
Do you sometimes feel like you're facing certain challenges at work on your own? Do you have questions you’d like to discuss with others who are dealing with similar situations? With Peer Circles, we create a space where exactly that is possible: a structured, peer-based exchange on equal footing — with a direct connection to your everyday work.
Who is it for?
For you as a staff member of an LBI or a department of the central office of the Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft (LBG)
What is it about?
We offer you a low-threshold opportunity to connect with peers who are facing similar challenges. The Career Center brings together people who want to exchange ideas on specific topics, learn from each other, and develop practical solutions.
How does it work?
- You share your interest, topic, question, or challenge with us via email: careernews@lbg.ac.at
- We cluster similar requests and form a peer group (4–8 people).
- Once a group is complete, we will inform you and the other participants.
- The Career Center facilitates the first session.
- Afer that, you organize your follow-up meetings independently.
- If needed, we connect you with experts from relevant LBG departments (eg. Recruiting, Legal, etc.)
Possible topics
- Team dynamics and collaboration
- Shaping your (own) leadership role
- Communication within the team or with stakeholders
- Implementing the LBG leadership principles
- Applications and grants
- Recruiting & talent acquisition
- Budget management & resource planning
- Or any other topic that is currently on your mind
Framework
- Group size: 4–8 participants
- Duration per session: approx. 60–90 minutes
- Frequency: by mutual agreement (e.g. every 4–6 weeks, 60–90 minutes each, minimum of 4 sessions)
- Confidential setting with anonymous quality assurance evaluation (questionnaire after 4 sessions)
